Music in the Park 2009 Schedule

This year our season kicks off Wednesday July 8th, and continues for 7 weeks until August 19th.

Music in the Park

Each summer in July and August, we host outdoor concerts on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 in Pioneer Park. Bring a chair, a blanket, a picnic dinner, or buy dinner from one of our food vendors. Come early - the park fills fast!

Pioneer Park is located at the corner of West Saanich Rd and Clarke Rd. Parking is available at the Central Saanich Library, Clarke Rd. (We're really hoping that you'll walk or ride your bike!)

New vendors are always welcome! Please contact us if you'd like more information on renting a vendor space.

What happens if it rains?

Should the unthinkable happen, and it rains on a Wednesday, we have made arrangements to move inside. We'll be found in the Brentwood Bay United Church on West Saanich Rd, just up from the park, next to Greenhawk Equestrian Supplies. We can fit in about 140 people, so it will be first come, first serve. They have comfy new cushions, and we can serve coffee and tea at the break. We'll post the indoor changes right here, as well as sending out email notification, if you're on our email list.

Thanks so much to all of the bands and performers who submitted for MIP this year. As usual, we were inundated with submissions, from as far as California to all across Canada. The committee had a lot of tough choices to make, as we had enough submissions to fill every Wed all year!
