This is an amazing local dance group, led by Mua Vaa, showcasing traditional dance, culture and traditions of the South Sea Islands.
Johnny Vallis, Man of Many Voices

One of the preminent impressionists performing today, Johnny Vallis' show involves impressions of Mick Jagger, Louis Armstrong, Dean Martin, Garth Brooks, John Lennon, the Bee Gees and Gordon Lightfoot, among others.
Shaky Ground
Local
favorite Shaky Ground will rock Brentwood Bay with rock classics from
the 50s, 60s and 70's, to hit tunes of today's hot bands. One of the
most polished and hottest cover show bands around, Shaky Ground
recently performed as back up band for Alan Frew of Glass Tiger.
This
is no slouch cover band... Band members have had careers as diverse as
stadium tours of Australia, song writing major hits, and opening for ZZ
Top. Now the guys are kicking back and having some fun with this band
wowing crowds and bringing them to joy.
Check out this Youtube video of last year's Music in the Park performance:

The Leslie Gentile Band
Leslie
is a local singer songwriter. While she writes in a varety of styles,
somehow they always end up bluesy. She is backed by her daughters:
guitarist Aimee Gentile, and tenor sax player Lyse Gentile. Leslie has
performed with Garnett Rogers, The Ecclestons, Valdy, and other music greats. She opened for Alan Gerber last February and was asked to close the show with Barney Bentall's Grand Cariboo Opry last December.
Bill Johnson Blues Band
Bill
Johson is one of the most talented, soulful blues players to come along
in a long time. But dont take our word for it. Let's get the goods on
Bill straight from the expert:
"I checked
out Mr. Bill Johson's music and the guy is smoking. Some real good
downhome jump and blues tunes with emotional singing and playing." Duke Robillard, multi award winning legendary guitarist and producer. Enough said.

Todd Butler
There are a whole lot of musicians who try to be funny, but not many comedians who can play guitar like Todd Butler.
Todd is one of the most drop dead funniest guys around, and also one of the most drop dead blistering fast guitar players to come down the pike. If you've ever listened to CBC Radio you've heard him. He's a regular on the comedy show as Madly Off In All Directions. Todd has promised to play his song written for Billy Bob Thornton called "What's the Prob, Billy Bob?" |
