August Music in the Park Schedule
August 5th: Babe Gurr
http://www.babegurr.com/
One of the best-selling Indie recording artists around, Babe's music has been described as honest, rootsy and real, fitting powerful stories to thoughtful music with craftswomanlike precision. Experiencing Babe's engaging personality in concert is a treat, and discovering her playful and keen sense of humour is always a delight. The Vancouver based singer, songwriter and guitarist has drawn comparisons to such diverse talents as Bonnie Raitt, John Hiatt, Shawn Colvin and Sheryl Crow but this is one diamond who shines with her own kind of light - always managing to retain her own unique acoustic roots sound and style. Though she now lives in Vancouver, Babe is from Brentwood Bay originally! |

August 19th: Shaky Ground
Local
favorite Shaky Ground will rock Brentwood Bay with rock classics from
the 50s, 60s and 70's, to hit tunes of today's hot bands. One of the
most polished and hottest cover show bands around, Shaky Ground
recently performed as back up band for Alan Frew of Glass Tiger.
This

stadium tours of Australia, song writing major hits, and opening for ZZ
Top. Now the guys are kicking back and having some fun with this band
wowing crowds and bringing them to joy.
